The pulsed dye-laser NARROWscan has been revised and further improved in the last months. Special attention was directed to the mechanical components of the power and bearing unit to achieve a greatest possible stability and reproduceibility. In this connection, the control unit of the stepper motor was designed completely new. All NARROWscans possess a self-sufficient stepper motor control, which can either be operated by a display at the laser or by the PC using a RS232 interface. This way the laser control is easily integrated in existing programs. It is possible to control up to three motors at the same time. Older models can easily be modernised! To compensate the frequency shift of the resonator with changing room and work temperatures, the NARROWscan can be stabilised in temperature and active in frequency by an optogalvanica cell. Therefore a dye laser in well-tried Radiant Dyes quality which is improved in substantial points is at disposal, for guaranteed easy operation and stability. You can choose between several options, that are all inside the laser housing.
